Kaptain,
A new experience this afternoon. I took off after the close to go and beat some water with a flyline since it turned nice outside. I was happily fishing along when a combination of events (gust of wind,splashing fish,too large of a fly,earth shifting on it's axis, and raw talent) left me with a fly embedded where I couldn't get to it very well. I was rather concerned with having a fly hooked through a shirt,pants, and a portion of myself. I briefly considered asking some fishermen that were drifting by in a boat for assistance. I couldn't bring myself to holler, "Hey bud, would you mind pulling this 'Gold Matuka' out of my butt?". So I tied on another fly and continued fishing until dark after releasing a stream of invectives that boiled water.
It made for an uncomfortable ride home. I considered stopping at a station in Concord and voicing a plea there. I thought a moment and figured that the reply that I would get was - "Get out the truck and we'll get the matuka out of you alright". So I drove home.
Fortunately, the wolf was more than willing to lend assistance. It really disturbed me when she brought out the cutting torch. The Mr Hyde laugh and expression like Jack Nicholson did nothing to soothe my apprehensions. I endured her torture stoically and with good grace.
Tommorow, I will replace the shattered windows and plot revenge on the wolf.
