I have revisited Devon. I should have looked at the hourlies.

Present opinion, Devon topped in a big B wave. Ending wave was an ED. Earnings were announced after the close today, Devon getting wacked. Next quarter will be worse, Devon is heavy gas, and the natty gas dump occurred near end of the quarter.

Devon Energy — The energy company’s shares fell 5% after the company’s disappointing fourth-quarter earnings report. Devon reported adjusted per-share earnings of $1.66, falling below analysts’ consensus estimate of $1.75, according to Refinitiv. Revenue also came in below Wall Street’s expectations.

Now if this quarter is down, the next one should be a doozy.

Also of present opinion that natural gas remains in secular bear market. The big runup over the last few years was a cyclical bull within the secular bear. Gonna get a full complex correction before done, current estimate for an end is late 2024. Then the tide should turn, into a full blown secular bull. Boil will boil.

Not short energy yet, soon me thinks. Long Boil for a counter play. Boil ready to do something here.

See what the rest of the week brings for Devon.
