HI dvdw,

I have a large position in XOM.

I think their FPSO is brilliant and it can be accelerated with modular construction techniques:

A floating production storage and offloading ( FPSO) unit is a floating vessel used by the offshore oil and gas industry for the production and processing of hydrocarbons, and for the storage of oil. An FPSO vessel is designed to receive hydrocarbons produced by itself or from nearby platforms or subsea template, process them, and store oil until it can be offloaded onto a tanker or, less frequently, transported through a pipeline.

BUT what scares me is relying on floating ships can be dangerous.

How easy would it be for a drone to take out all of Guyana's FPSO's?

Those ships should have Patriot missile defense systems mounted on them.

Then a sub and a simple torpedo could be lethal.

If one wanted to create $300.00 a barrel crude, taking out a million barrels a day would be an easy start.

I wonder what security those ships deploy, IF ANY?

Currently the Guyana wells are some of the few low cost deposits that can add to NON OPEC + production for the world.
