No. You would need a 500% increase in the amount of deadly weather events to begin making your case.
What you are saying is that if you don't look at the damage, there's nothing to see.

The cost of damage is more because of 2 issues primarily:

More rich idiots living where they shouldn't coupled with just plain more people living where they shouldn't and the cost to repair has gone up at least 500% since 1970
