The fact that greenhouse gases are warming the planet is settled. How much they will warm us is unsettled. IPCC predicts warming for a doubling of CO2 is 1.5-5 degrees C, and Arrhenius predicted 1.5-5.5 degrees in 1896, IIRC. We've already hit 1.5 degrees for a month, in 2 different years. Pre-industrial CO2 was 280 ppm, and is now 420.
