Robert,

All of your arguments and reasoning have been heard for many many years. I guess some people never learn. I heard all of these arguments 3 and half years ago when I first bought INTC. They make less sense now then back then. AMD and CYRX have never been weaker. They can't even make money. CYRX will not survive on it's own. Their only salvation is a buy-out. You completely underestimate the power of mareket share and mind share. People ask for Pentiums by name. No one wants CYRX or AMD inside. That's why between them they have not signed-up a single tier 1 oem pc vendor. CYRX and AMD both have had competitive products in the past. They have not, however, been able to market or sell these effectively. AMD is questionable, CYRX is not financially viable.

Going on vacation for 3 years, 5 years, 10 years and not worrying about INTC is as safe as any stock investmet can be over that time frame. People who can't see the signifcance of INTC would probably also consider the company that comes up with a cure for cancer just another healthcare company.
