Pete,

Serious is okay too. Anything goes here at Rambi.

Actually, I spent many days of my youth at the Huntington Museum and Gardens, in Pasadena, and viewed paintings by some of The Old Masters. You know the ones. I've been to other big city museums, as well. In fact, I spent a lot of time in museums and galleries while I was growing up. But I was young and probably did not appreciate the fine filigree of brush strokes and other nuances that make true art true. I do better with classical music in that department.

So many of us now view art on the Web, and it is beautiful stuff, of course, but obviously not the same as being up close and personal with artwork. Still, it's better than nothing for those of us who may never make it to the Louvre.

I like and appreciate art and have even done some painting of my own, aside from the walls. Oddly, I don't care to have pictures hanging on walls in my home. On a practical level, I don't want to do all that spackling when I move. On a deeper level, I simply don't like things hanging on walls, even fine art. Go figure.

Holly
