Who are YOUR handlers?

My wife mostly.

I've been fortunate to retire with enough assets so I don't have to be a part time walmart greeter or answer one of those "work from home" ads. Do you know, by the way, that most of those work from home schemes involve getting online and creating fake reviews for products. It's a category of "influencers" and the people with the products (the handlers) make it known what mood they want the review to push, but they want it in the individuals own words so it's not so easy to spot (and ignore). They pay by the eyeball that reads the review.

What you are seeing played out here, I believe, is Russia's version of work from home. One or more high school grad, likely from St. Petersburg, who doesn't have a real job and is worried about the draft has answered an ad to work from home. In this case the assignment is to write reviews, essentially of the whole American way of life. The 'product' the Russians are pushing is their authoritarian way of life so these reviews are designed to criticize and ridicule democratic collectivism (or wokeness to use someone elses slogan).

The big difference between Russia and the Madison Avenue gone bad advertisers is that Russia has a whole lot of money to spend on these efforts.
