Having just seen Sun Tzu’s response, I’d like to add a very “pedestrian” opinion I have had for years. Recent events have only deepened my conviction. Owning Chinese stocks is equal to owning vapour ware. Today it has tangible value. Tomorrow it could be gone. “Absorbed” by the Chinese government. The risk has increased exponentially in the recent past; Taiwan, South China Sea, Ukraine / Russia, sanctions. None of this will go away in the near future. If anything, it will get worse and with it the risk / reward ratio.
