One other thing I forgot to mention is their next generation motor doesn't use rare earth minerals in the magnets. That's a HUGE deal since China processes something like 80% of them.
I'm no TSLA bull but I like the way they innovate. Love the company but hate the valuation. They're doing a lot of amazing things in motors, actuators, batteries etc. What MSFT & AAPL did to IBM, TSLA is doing to engineering and manufacturing. Musk also gave NASA the finger. I saw first hand how bloated and stagnant NASA was when I worked with them at Edwards in some test projects. His SpaceX team has left them in the dust. I understand it's not all their fault since they're saddled with government red tape, politics, quotas and other inefficiencies etc.
