I married into a huge Italian family.

My wife is 100% Italian. All of her great grandparents came through Ellis Island and settled in L Chicago's Little Italy on Taylor Street.

Literally every Holiday is a family event.

My two nephews have taken over the Christmas Eve Tradition of all fish and no meat huge 7 course meal. I first met her family on Christmas Eve 1977. Clams upon Clams, Fish salad including Octopus (Her Uncle made the salad and made sure I had a small boiled Octopus prominently displayed on the very top). I promptly chewed it as the first bite and said this is the best salad I've ever had. We got along famously after that LOL. Then the raviolis with a ricotta cheese filling and fish sauce. Followed up with TOO many Italian cookies that Grand Ma De Luca always made. Then a fruit tray with celery and grapes, followed up with Fanny Farmer chocolates and selected nuts.

Back then I worked out every day and raced motocross. I had to go upstairs and sit down on her mom's living room furniture ( which I did not know - no one could go there). LOL I passed out on her couch and was forgiven, but clued in later. The Italian living room is for show and not to be used.

What a wonderful life I've been lucky to enjoy and learn about.

Family and "Mangia" definitely go together when Italians meet!

I get the same good vibes from Armanino Foods of Distinction.

This Irishman has learned that when it comes to great family foods, the Italians stand out. The whole world is learning how good Italian food is. Armanino on the MOVE!
