zead--

sorry, i guess that was a bit cryptic. my partner and i have been trading JTS over the last week or so. however, my history with JTS is much more substantial. we held ATC, then JTS through the merger. yes, we missed the great sellout opp at 8-9. however, we sold the position a while back, and have not held JTS until last week.

as for the comments about a B/O, the logic is quite simple. the operation is not bad, its the management. any acquirer would be very happy with the operations. from a long term strategic standpoint it makes since for some one to acuire the company for what amounts to chump change. with better management it could easily be a great company.

the problem is that management likes to shoot itself in the foot with overoptomistic comments, which means that analysts get pissed at them, brokerages dont follow them, and banks wont return calls. so, they are forced to dig the whole a little deeper by issuing stock, which alienates shareholders.

however, with a buyout the problems dissapeer, and the new parent company gets a built in indian operation.

that being said, my comment was just an opinion. i am not buying JTS stock in the hopes of a buyout. i am buying it for a 1/8-1/4 point increase, and thats all.but...the prospect is there.

good luck to all,
trey
