I happen to think that this is shameless - and shameful. Encouraging a coup - and later, leading on the client regime to start a war in which they had zero chance without massive outside help — all in order to remove a perceived strategic opponent using other people to do the fighting and the dying - is nothing to be proud of.

Speaking of hands being untied to take on another “strategic adversary” at the same time — is nonsense. We barely have enough resources to keep up the war that is already happening.

Maybe we need to get us some better strategic advisors.
