RBC Capital Markets Says Fertilizer Equities Continue To Outperform Broader Markets

11:24 AM EST, 03/06/2023 (MT Newswires) -- RBC Capital Markets said Sunday that fertilizer equities including Nutrien Ltd. (NTR.TO) continued to outperform the broader markets due to positive sentiment and stabilizing fertilizer prices.

But RBC said demand continues to be relatively slow going into the Northern Hemisphere season and prices remain soft.

Meanwhile, nitrogen markets are seeing some traction but ammonia markets remain bearish. Phosphate and potash saw slightly lower prices, according to RBC.

RBC said its Nutrien indicator was negative on lower US nitrogen and potash prices, and higher natural gas costs.
