I haven't seen any honest assessment of that. But, if you understand both the dynamics of how a pandemic functions... the specific functions of Covid in this case... understand the biology of what the "vax" is... and, understand the social CONTEXT and both HOW and WHEN it was "rolled out" ? Odds are good that the vaccine cost MANY additional lives relative to what would have been experienced without it...
And, that assessment grows vastly more bleak... if you correctly account for all the things we could have done, both to the lessen the spread, lessen the impact, and save lives... that WE DID NOT DO... because there were a group of morons in charge denying doctors the ability to practice medicine... insisting THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE solution.
Those who did that... still need to be... addressed... by relevant means.
The "there can be only one" solution BS... was never about medicine, but only about $$$. That cost lives.
Then, because they were extraordinarily slow in rolling it out... feared that allowing other solutions would end it before they got paid... which essentially DID happen... leading them to go nuts and "require" it... at the same time they denied and withheld proper care from sick people... when that was available. And, now that its over ? Heh, now they are admitting... those drugs DO work... ? And, fewer people died than would have, because doctors knew that and took career risks to treat people with "unapproved" treatments that did work... and take them off of those crazy things that were "required"... that really only killed them faster.
The systems failed... because they were DIRECTED to fail, from the top down... and the "safety protocols" that exist to prevent that happening... were all disabled. All of that was POLITICS AND $$$... not medicine.
By the time they DID roll the vax out, society had already adapted to it fairly well... well enough to have it be declared "over" provisionally... "as long as" we kept doing those things to limit the spread, AS WE WERE then... before the vax.
That's not to say that effort was "good enough" ? The BS they propagated about masks... just as the vax... had only one function... to make people FEEL protected... so they would act as if they were... when they were not. It isn't that "masks don't work"... it is that the masks they required be used... don't do shit...
But, when the "vax" DID arrive... the first impact they imposed was to "declare it over"... and, at that point, all the stuff that was continuing to be done to that point... as people innovated to find ways to continue functioning by getting better at avoiding the risks better... while NOT just turning everything off ? All of that innovation stopped... Things we should have had as routine already long before Covid... we still don't have now... because of that craziness... intended to prevent "corrective actions" from... correcting. There are still things we could be doing to fix what they've broken... and ensure society is more resilient in the future... and, we are not doing any of that... because... they're still lying about all of it ?
Klaus Scwhab's wistful missive just discussed... failed to comprehend how "the great reset"... intending the virus to be much, much worse in its impacts... with them directing actions to make it worse... FAILED in spite of their efforts ?
Still far from the worst of it, though... because the vax did not and does not... prevent infection. It suppresses symptoms... does NOT confer immunity. It is not actually a vaccine. They just re-defined "vaccine" to allow them to jab you with this "experimental" crap... that does not confer immunity... so is not a vaccine.
The social impact of telling those jabbed... you can party, again... was as you would expect. They did. And, thus, because they were not immune, and they were not adhering to prior standards of behavior that had been working to prevent spread... they created TWO massive new risks.
One, is simply that they re-accelerated the spread... as "the spread" functions whether those spreading it are symptomatic or not... as they are NOT immune. There were also a lot of "breakthrough" infections in result...killing many that would not have been otherwise... because Covid risks are titre dependent... the more infected people you are near... the more exposed you are... the more likely to get infected and become sicker... even in spite of "protection" by the "vax". That, also, accompanied by a massive disinformation campaign... in which they lied about "immunity"... to induce people who were not immune to behave as if they were.
Two, is that by deliberately re-accelerating the pace of infection and re-infection in the "vaxxed" population... they turned the "vaxxed" population into a giant open petri dish in which the virus was able to mutate... and develop new variants that were... not at all shockingly... unconstrained by the "vax" that provided no immunity. And, they tasked that population... to attack the "non-compliant" unvaxxed.
Some clearly believed that... a new variant would emerge that would kill, not just the "unprotected" unvaxxed... but a majority of the population... (Sorry, Klaus... you failed.)
But, the unvaxxed were better prepared to resist them... avoiding them... applying alternatives, choices of behavior, reason... to prevent becoming infected... and, if infected, demanding the drugs "they" said wouldn't work... that did. As you would expect to see in a population of people who KNOW they are being lied to... not trusting the liars... is an essential for survival.
So, a first stab at it... Odds are VERY good that it "would have been over" after the first round... if they did not lie to people about: the vax providing immunity, the vax allowing behavior change without greater risk, (so people did not behave as immune when they were not immune)... also lying about...the effectiveness of useless masks, the effectiveness of preventives working, and "alternative" drug treatment effectiveness...
Instead of it "ending" after round one... how many "new variants" did we suffer through... for no reason... ?
But, it would be an error to blame "the vax"... as if it were responsible for anything ? Just as "guns don't kill people, people kill people"... the same is true of "the vax"...
I think you can count up the numbers from the time they started the vax... and count every death after that as due to the vax... and not be far wrong...
The question that needs asking... is... knowing what we DID know at the time... all that above... why did the officials lie to us... and insist we do the opposite of what they should have been telling us to do ?
