Good Morning ski, It appears to me we will have a generational opportunity to load up on Treasury Notes some time in the next 12 months. Not adding any more equities and building cash to 40%-45%. I have moved some cash into a CD at JPM paying 4.5% expires end of July and bought a note on the secondary market expires November 5.024 %. If rates go to 6% ( a big if, but possible, so may be 7%) in the 5 and 10 year, and Biden gets half of his capital gains tax to 30%, anyone and everyone who locks in that yield will out perform the market for the duration. Even if the recession caused a reversal in rates, who would sell if 30 percent of the gain goes to the government in capital gains taxes? May well be justification to buy a 30 year note on the secondary or take the big leap on a 30 year? That would be a no brainer to lock in a guaranteed rate. The imminent deep recession and horrible equity market would lie dormant for a decade at least. Who would risk their money, If the government takes 30% to 39% on capital gains and then another 5% Obama penalty if you make over $400,000. Welcome to the scary view of the USA becoming a socialist society. BAD JUJU! SCARY TO ME. The truth that unbridled government spending has resulted in ruinaway inflation needs to be eloquently made to the working public of the USA! With less than acceptable performance, BIG GOVERMENT WANTS IT ALL! SHEESH! Bob
