Rittenhouse was in extreme fear of death. The cop that shot Babbitt wasnt.
I've heard it argued that Rittenhouse either wasn't in extreme fear of death, or shouldn't have been because he chose to be there. Again, these arguments were made by those who claimed to have "seen the video" and arrived at conclusions that are, quite frankly, dumbass bullshit.

As for the cop, he was sworn to protect the lawmakers and staff. Giving way to the unruly mob would have put their lives in extreme danger. You are arguing that he should have forsook his duty, which is also a conclusion that is, quite frankly, dumbass bullshit.

Personally I see no difference between you and the "Defund the Police" movement.
