Hi Steve, I recently opened an account with Dreyfus Pacific Brokerage services. I do not want to go short even by mistake, since I do not have the wherewithal to follow the market full time. To my simple way of thinking, the computers could be easily set up to reject such trades. The broker told me I cannot prevent over-selling, they just do not have anything in place to prevent it. . Do you know of any brokerage which will allow me to set up a strictly cash account, no margins, no short selling. Thanx in advance jag-dish
