Thanks for posting, roguedolphin.

There were a couple of points that Jim Willie raised in the interview on de-dollarization that I had not heard of before.

One was his suggestion that Japan would joint the BRICS. He mentioned that Indonesia was the first Asian-Pacific country to apply for membership and more would follow. An interesting question he raised was what currency would be used for trade between Japan, South Korea and China in the future.

German/Russian commerce would be announced shortly.

Switzerland announcing a CBDC to be used for trade between the US, England and Switzerland apparently fizzled. It would be nice to see a link for that as I had missed that news.

On the BRICS+ he mentioned 70% of the global GDP came from BRICS countries and 80% of the global population. With the US now being a net importer of around $1 trillion, the US will not have the ability to determine the currency of trade in the near future.

He also mentioned the possibility of XRP (crypto currency) being used for trade. Again I have not heard that proposed before. The main suggestion I had heard was a gold backed (or partially gold backed) SDR.

Interesting times we live in. Things are changing so fast it's hard to keep up.
