bailout is not socialist but continuing unfettered capitalism...

Nope.

Exactly the opposite is true. If we had "unfettered capitalism"... which we do not... they'd just fail... and tough shit... take your lumps... and don't be stupid next time...

We haven't had anything close to that in banking since the days of JP Morgan and the "Robber Barons"...

But, haven't had "unfettered capitalism" at all since the Industrial Revolution bifurcated "state interest" in the economy into the competing brands of socialism we have today...

Socialism is "protecting failures from consequences"... as state policy... whether on an individual or corporate basis... except for "those guys"... go get those guys... because, by not failing and submitting to state "subsidy/control/bailout"... "they are the problem" ?

Government... by definition... is incapable of charity... and incapable of altruism... ?

Those seeking to incorporate those elements into "forcing others to do it for me"... might feel good about themselves for "being altruistic"... but, it is an obvious lie... that requires purposeful myopia to believe.

Which means that's what you get from it... purposeful myopia... that re-brands corruption as "charity"... while enabling any bull shit they choose... to be relabeled as "for the greater good"... even when it is obviously the opposite... or patently absurd...
