Yes. I believe that the rise of former 2nd and 3rd tier(economically) countries like China, Russia, etc. along with their nuclear arsenals, vastly larger populations(much bigger potential for massive land based armies) has made the world a much much smaller place(all made possible by technological advances). It was fairly easy for navies from Europe to control the seas from approx. 1600 forward. Then we came out on top after WW2 because technology hadn't yet allowed the US to be attacked on our shores. Instead of being the "good guys" post WW2, we decided to take down all other potential adversaries. That worked for about 3 generations. 87% of the world is sick of our sh*t.

Is N. Korea a model? No. It's horrific. But the US has abandoned its responsibilities to educate its citizens and now we have a herd being let about by a billionaire class that literally thinks its sh*t doesn't stink. it's going to grim, but I doubt you or I will be here to see the fall ...but it's coming. Sticking our collective heads into a hole filled with perpetual war is a loser's game Ten.
