likely not, because gold mine is not gold nugget, but more like a jail

cannot leave it alone, cost care & maintenance, disallow travel-away vacations, and must always do something progressive every year in order to maintain the claims

then there is the environmental cleanups, the inland revenue taxations, etc etc

takes funds to defend, but typically in lonesome places
