RE: Intel buying CREAF... Well, they already tried the modem market...maybe they will try the soundblaster market. Not really buying a competitor, maybe it would get past the DOJ. Might help in the integration of audio on a daughter chip...strengthening Intels monopoly in that any integrated board would be able to claim Sounblaster compatibility which may or may not be licensed to others making integrated chips or chip-sets. Could be a good powerplay for Intel. Maybe someone else will comment. Jim
