Those "fact checking" sites you continually cite are a big part of the problem.

It is expected that people will read them, believe them outright, and just not trust their own critical thinking skills.

Meanwhile... back to the 1970's , everyone thought these KGB tactics were laughable, people would just not fall for it.

It is as plain as daylight, our press is part of the problem, they spout their poison 24/7/365
