I'm not saying you're wrong. You're scenario is one of the many possible outcomes. But to compare reaction to this quarters earnings to last quarter should take into account the fact that IO released their earnings at the rock bottom of a 2 month market plummet. People were freaked. Elaine Garzarelli was running around screaming "It's the end of the World." You remember.
Given high hopes for Q4 and 97', as well as current market conditions, reactions to meeting expectation should be much softer IMHO.
