Of course you can, part of the reason is to have the charge expunged.

Years ago a man convicted of rape and murder was hung and buried in the prison cemetery.
A later review of his record and new information proved he was not responsible for the crime.
The lucky bastard was dug up and interred in the Catholic church cemetery.
Imagine his joy on the final day when he rises from the grave to be among good Christian folk!

Expungement "In the common law legal system, an expungement proceeding is a type of lawsuit in which an individual who has been arrested for or convicted of a crime seeks that the records of that earlier process be sealed or destroyed, making the records nonexistent or unavailable to the general public."
