Bill,
And frankly, I don't know what his behavior was in prison. Do you know for a fact he was released early for good behavior, or are you just speculating?
You were the one who claimed that he was "innocent," even though it's a fact that he was tried and convicted in a court of law.

Without a successful appeal, he is still considered a felon. Just because he filed an appeal doesn't mean it's already a done deal.

In any case, I think my speculation is more plausible than yours. No one gets released for merely filing an appeal.

"Uh oh, the inmate just got a new legal team and is appealing his conviction! We must inform the warden and release him from jail immediately!"
