The vanguard
or
Early to rise, healthy, wealthy, wise.

You were always brave TimF.
You never gave up a point, you didn't always win but you NEVER gave up.
I was surprised to see your name here.
I know that in your end you were brave and you never gave up.
Tom is right, you were always a gentleman.

Each time I see a name here I am reminded again of our collective shared history in the vanguard.
All of us who ended up here on SI early were at the very forefront of a new age.
The TimF profile on SI is one of the oldest continuous commentaries on the Internet today.
That type of digital cohesion is not practiced, it is natural, it made him a potent SItizen.
Tim was a very active SItizen who worked tirelessly refining and redefining and contributing right to the end.
The personalities and qualities that SItizens embody and display are like functions in a code library.
As a contributor over decades TimF was a model for consistency and perseverance.
TimF and I did not fly the same colors but we fought together in the vanguard of this age.
He was a SItizen who helped create community and his contributions demonstrate that he cared.
GoodbyeTimF
