Russian ‘invasion was wrong’: Views from China on war in Ukraine (msn.com)

The headline is a bit misleading, admittedly. When they say "wrong," they actually mean it was a mistake.

Key points cited in the article:

- Many Chinese no longer believe that NATO threatened RuZZia's existence. Some actually see what RuZZia is doing, which is to basically burn Ukraine to the ground.

- No one really thinks RuZZia is a great military power anymore. After a year of fighting a much smaller country with little to show for it, even Chinese people can see the obvious.

- Despite all of this, most still side with RuZZia in the conflict. Or if they don't, they believe China should remain neutral.

- Most also don't have a real appetite for war, which I consider to be laudable. Hence it's unlikely that they would support China actively sending military hardware to RuZZia.

- Ideally it'd be nice if WinnXi the PooTin could bring a peaceful end to the war in Ukraine, but few Chinese actually think he'll be successful.
