My opinion of rumors is changing. Now that everybody knows ... or thinks they know ... that FBN is on the acquisition warpath, I'm getting calls from companies wanting to be acquired by the Y2K powerhouse. This is an interesting study in mass psychology. For some reason, many of the companies coming forth with their desire to be an acquiree are public companies ... and have either a "Z" or an "X" in their stock symbols. Sometimes both. Amazing ... Please don't use the information in this post to support any of the persistent rumors that we are actually going to acquire another firm. Nope. Still just a rumor. That "Bill Gates" guy has started calling again. I thought we got rid of him way back when our first IPO attempt was postponed due to incomplete financial paperwork. He must be a reporter or something, nosing around a big story. TED
