Just think if we put all the money we've spent on wars and subsidizing dictators in the middle east since 1953 when we toppled the legally elected government in Iran into:

Material Science
Cryogenics and super conductors
Solar panel research
Batteries

We'd OWN the energy markets by now. We'd probably still own the automobile market.

Add the money we wasted on Vietnam and the bone headed Nixon detante and made our decline inevitable. I was warning about it way back then. It was a no brainer they'd kill the jobs of working people in the us and take our businesses. That's when I left the Democratic party and became a LIBERtarian.

Of course we've been funding Israel for 60 years too... and NOT funding our own citizens. Israel has universal health care and free college on OUR dime. Republicans want to cut Social Security so we can keep subsidizing Israel. STUPID.

Add putting people like these guys in prison for using drugs too... at 30k per year. We jail more people per than any other country... and we have he highest murder rates of any first world country. Just imagine where our economy would be without these guys... and imagine how many people like them who could have helped the economy ended up in prison instead of dropping out of Stanford to start tech companies.

The slave states are still putting people like this in prisons.
