In many ways, America Online reminds me of Apple. Proprietary content, simple interface (plug and play). Overpriced. Arrogant. Meanwhile, competition is heating up. It's not quite there yet, but the pockets are deep. Just like the Wintel competition that eventually overcame Apple, America Online faces a similar demise.
