Does anyone know of an instance in which a Biotech company with a promising pipeline has actually had to shut its doors due to an inability to obtain financing? I suspect that the greater risk for those of us long on NTII is that management will acquiesce to a financing arrangement under terms that unfairly dilute existing shareholders. This being the 11th hour (and then some), NTII's suitors would appear to have the upper hand. I suspect that NTII management will try to achieve what IMGN's management recently did: obtain short-term financing to keep the ship afloat for another three months or so and thereby buy the company time to cut a fair deal with a Big Pharma partner on a longer term basis.
