To help clear things up for you, an analysts earnings estimates reflect only "continuing operations." That means they make no consideration for "one time charges or gains" in their estimates. This is why you always hear the commentators say, "after backing out the one time gains, or losses, the company met, beat, or missed analyst estimates."
