I'm not very sophisticated when comes recognizing the names of the big players, but if my memory serves me correctly (note to self: Where did I leave those other notes to myself), this guy Bill Gates is a Pie magnate (hmm..magnate? Or was that magnet?).

The takeover is great news, I mean rumor. To think that this great Y2K rocket is actually going to plan for it's existence post 2000 by purchasing Informix. If you read the end of this post, the part where it speculates about Informix going private to avoid being taken over:
