I posted a response yesterday, but it seems to have been blown to dust.

I remember you mentioning Ney's call Aug-Oct being stretched out. So yeah, maybe that's the case here too, but I doubt it'll take months to be resolved.

In Oct/Nov I went fully invested from 100% cash in mid-Sep. Made some money, but not as much as I would have liked because prices worked even lower on most issues Dec/Jan before recovering. So I sold off just recently on the way up - didn't miss too much on the upside.

I don't worry about % yield while in cash unless I'm out for an extended period, last time was '89 I think. I've parked money in ASG (used to be GSO) because it's very resilient to major downside moves and provides good income along the way. Last year ASG returned 40+ %. I've had a base position since 10/87.

My outlook for this year was/is that it's going to be choppy. So I'm acting accordingly not staying long or uncommitted for long periods. I don't often go short cause we're in a bull phase, so I wait for the dips. I'm long AMAT, BGP, and CPQ. Still not sure about JBIL either, but watching very closely.
