Hi Kirk, If it gets really ugly, a loan from your stock account ( margin) or a HELOC (I did that in 2008 from JPM) and you could buy a nice view lot on the mountain of San Marin. Short walk to cayote point and your wing dinger on a red wagon. Real estate goes thru those cycles. Those that fly the highest, flop the hardest. If I saw a conservative swing in political leadership, I've considered San Marin as a gorgeous place to spend too much money on a 1200 ft second home. The sad truth is blue cities seldom change. I guess Rudy Giuliani changed New York for a while - but it still stayed expensive. California needs to get tough with the Street people. Build a compound out in Central Valley. Institutionalized the crazies, or too far gone druggies. Give everyone structure, and those who respond get released. It's time to get tough on these deadbeats! All the liberal love and understanding has made the decrepit situation worse. Clean it up, get them out of the government endorsed drug free zones and detox them, or give them a small cell. I fit makes them feel at home pour a curb on one side of the cell and pitch a one man tent with all the cardboard they can use. The politicians and their incompetence are hurting the investments of all those who are investors in real estate. Vote the bums out and retake the cities along the Coast.
