I think the sec position re gbtc for not allowing it to be an etf is nigh indefensible. given that numerous respectable financial entities are quoting real time price for bitcoin unlike numerous stocks that trade by appointment only yet etfs are allowed to purchase them and hold them in their portfolios. it was actually the sec that did not permit ftx to take their bitcoin out of gbtc.
