There are way easier and less expensive ways to go and still make hay. China has been at it for 5K+ years.
In the meantime I am told (scroll way down) that the boy might have been setup or participated in a setup. Time shall better tell.
However, if the accusation re setup is true, points to some sort of desperation that such school yard trickery is used. The setup would not fool any domains involved, Russia, China, Israel, …. Korea, Germany, …, and only designed to fool the domestic TV audience. But if so, incredible.
I remain agnostic per too early to say.
