Just wondering how the IRA withdrawals wouldn't be federally taxed (for nursing home expenses). Would you have the IRS reference?

Are they itemizing on the federal tax form? Can see no tax on up to $27,700 which is the standard deduction for a married couple.

Just trying to understand. Thank You
