[ level 2 quotes, chat ]

a few things....

*what do they cost, are they worth the cost, and is there a provider such that one can get them on a home-based W95 machine?

*how frequently do you find a situation where a thinly traded stock is sitting with few "asks" in the neighborhood above? Do these situations commonly change rapidly, or are there situations that are just plain telegraphed "buy"? Is there a recommended website that addresses simple questions like mine?

*if you have a thinly traded stock and the "bid size" and "ask size" have been stable all day, what has occurred when a trade is executed between the bid and ask and neither "size" changes? Did the market maker momentarily lower the ask for a new buyer or raise the bid for a new seller, and I just missed it?

Thanks!

Rick
