Back in mid-January, I forecasted SPX $4300+ before another consolidation/correction. At this point, after closing above SPX $4140 it is relatively safe to say SPX $4200 is coming shortly.

Greed can get greedier.

Market can easily make new highs if there is no recession and/or the labor market remains strong. I don't see that happening, though. I do not think the market is priced in for a recession. It was priced in for a mild recession last October at SPX $3500. Data is mixed. But it is a corporate earnings downturn now.

And no, I don't think WMT is cheap; it is a steady and stable stock, but far from cheap.

Pick high quality cheap stocks on the long side. Short the bloated pigs. That's my approach, which usually works.
