The mailing to all shareholders is now in progress. 4 into 1 share is being planned, but still requires a vote on March 12, l998. This news was sent Feb.6/98 that's when we noticed a big buyer at 7 cents. With the proposed name change, will the firm's objectives change? GEODEX what does "DEX" stand for? Diamond Exploration? We know Agate is already involved in a diamond syndicate and Marr has mentioned looking at properties in Africa, but has not disclosed for what. All is rumour, and best to keep in touch with facts and stay objective.Often a name change can precede a move in the price of a stock, but the effect of the rollback is uncertain. If Agate indeed is changing its focus from base metals to something else and has good properties in mind, maybe something will emerge on speculation. I am cautious now, and will try to secure more information. Anyway, it seems Agate is willing to try something afresh. Leonas Labenskas
