I suspect that the SEC is monitoring the electronic public posting that occurs on the internet. They have already addressed it in their regulations. Perhaps public declarations of knowingly fraudulent acts will give some teeth to their investigations.

My guess is that most of 1998 will see pennies in a slump, but after the gate closes to non-reporting companies this summer things will pick up. Perhaps many more indictments will be handed down as well.

Interesting topic, huh?
