On Friday if I have extra cash and can't see any opportunities in a particular stock or a decent option with an expiration in the future I will attempt to look for options expiring on that day at the point where they are not going to exercise or will upgrade an option worth .01 with a higher priced issue to something better. I can say some options have better last day premiums than others like those that exercise in nickel increments or something better than 1 cent and quite far off the strike price companies with a higher implied volatility that tends to change but usually U RBLX CWH SAVA AI UPST BITO RIOT MARA RIG (FAZ is a good one to look at if the market is trending bearish) I tend to not like to give this info because usually the bid sizes especially for the nickel options can be limited. Granted with exception to perhaps CWH they are not value companies but I can say I had never had one option exercise taking that approach. Granted you usually don't improve your situation that much but it adds up over time.

My theory why this works: Fridays especially towards the close tend to be sacred and is usually not the time to release company specific bad news towards the closing bell if they did market makers would incur much more risk to their book.
