WSJ -- iPhone users locked out of their own account / recovery key designed to make Apple safer. Instead, victims permanently lost family photos, other precious digital possessions wsj.com or archive.ph ------------------------------------------- Since I have pretty much never used any Apple Crapple device in my entire life, I do not really understand a lot of what this article says. But, I did notice that none of this happens to those who store stuff with Google : (from this same WSJ article) <<<<< If someone takes over your Google account, Google’s password-reset process lets you provide a recovery e-mail, phone number or account password, and you can use them to regain access later, even if a hijacker changes them. Going through the process on a familiar Wi-Fi network or location can also help demonstrate you’re who you say you are.
