I remember at some time in the past 48-72 months I asked this thread just how pervasive / material / serious or some such the transgender issue is given the election cycle mentions. I do not remember the responses from the thread except that it / they raise no alarms in my head.

It / they sort of hit me when the coconut rushed, got pledged, and attended the mass bid-reveal of her supposedly tier-1 sortie when her profile along with the other sisters all had one sentence regarding pronouns. Was good and am happy that the coconut was a presumably self-described 'she/her', even as I would have been tolerant of any other combo after presumably at least some shock. Dunno. Not going there.

I again ask the thread, how material an issue is the gender 'thing' as far as politics go?

By question I mean, should Candidate A be sensible on every subject (economy, war / peace, technology, ... family values, ... track record) except intolerant on subject of gender self-selection by kids under age 21 / 18 / or 12, and Candidate B is a total disaster on all topics except being exceeding tolerant on gender self-selection, would candidate B have a chance to win?
