Thanks for your comments. I am trying to learn. My charting software does 200 day with three possible options. 1)Simple 2)Linear Weighted 3)Exponential with a smoothing setting that can be changed.

Using the Exponential seems to come close to $21. By using this setting the 200 day moving average seems to run much closer to the 50 day moving average. Is that the reason it is more accurate than the simple moving average?

This is a great message board. I tried another board (free) for awhile and find SI much better. I hope I can learn a little each day.
