I can write all the thousands of words I want on this topic, but the visual learners among us need, well, visuals to learn the futile reality of this “energy transition” which western governments are bankrupting themselves to try to subsidize into reality. I came across two such visuals that, taken together, do a great job of telling this story.

First, there is this bit of harsh reality from Doug John Miller:

Take transmission lines as one prime example. We’re talking about building 75,000 miles of lines in just 12 years.
As it happens, Texas provides a fantastic case study with its infamous CREZ line project, which involved the building of 3,600 miles of new high-voltage lines to bring wind energy generated out on the plains of West Texas to market centers in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and elsewhere. |
