MSN??? Flat rate pricing?

1)Hasn't AOL's stock been getting hit due to concerns over the impact
of switching to flat rate pricing?

2)Hasn't AOL's stock been getting hit due to the fact that many feel
than online services will soon become extinct?

And now Microsoft is beefing up MSN and introducing flat-rate pricing?

Basically, Bill Gates is saying that he likes AOL's business.
In fact, if you read the story on Bloomberg, it reads:

Bill "Gates also stood up for the the future of AOL, saying analysts have underestimated the company's future in the face of its competition with companies that provide low-cost access to the Net.
"I think it is a better business than most analysts view it today"
said Gates.

So, if you guys all hate AOL, then don't you feel this is a stupid
decision for Microsoft?
If you think Gates is a genius, then hasn't he just added to the
credibility of AOL?
